Al-Nass (People)

Khawas Al-Quran Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "For he who recites Al-Nass Chapter, it shall be a shield for him till the morning. It relieves pain and cures illness for everyone who recites it."

Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Suleiman Al-Ja'afari reported from Imam Abou Al-Hassan (Pbuh) that he said: "Every boy in the youth age who commits himself to reciting Al-Falaq and Al-Nass Chapter three times and Al-Tawheed Chapter one hundred times or fifty times if he couldn’t shall be clear of every disease that strikes youth along with stomach and blood diseases as long as he is committed to reciting them till he grows old. If he was committed to that he will stay protected till the day when Allah takes his soul."

Al-Tabrasi states in Majma' Al-Bayan Book: Oqba said: "The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said to me : "O Oqba shall I teach you two of the best chapters in Quran?" I said: "Yes O Messenger of Allah." He taught me Al-Falaq and Al-Nass chapters then he prayed the dawn prayer reciting them. Then he said to me: "recite them whenever you stand or sleep."

Al-Tabrasi states in Majma' Al-Bayan Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "Reciting Al-Falaq and Al-Nass Chapters is equivalent to reciting all the books that Allah bestowed on the prophets."

Al-Qummi states in his Tafseer Book: Baker bin Mohammad reported from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that he said: "The cause of the descent of the two refuge chapters (Al-Falaq and Al-Nass) is that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) was sick and so Jibraeel descended carrying these two chapters with him and recited them for him to refuge him."

Al-Qotb Al-Rawandy states in Al-Da'awat Book: Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh) said: "The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) was bit by a scorpion so he called for water. Then he recited the two refuge chapters and Al-Fatiha and drank a portion from this water. Then he called for salt and dissolved it in the water and then poured the water on the bite so that it heals."

The two sons of Bistam state in Tob Al-A'imma Book: Ismaeel bin Abi Ziad reported from Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) that he said: "When the body of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) used to become weak or when he used to suffer from headache he used to open his hands, recite Al-Fatiha and the two refuge chapters then wipe his hands over his face. Thus he was relieved from everything he was suffering."
