The miracles of the Prophets (PBUT) repeated by Prophet Mohammad (PBUHP)

* Tafseer Al-Imam Al-Askari (Pbuh) Book: The Imam (Pbuh) said: "All the signs and miracles that were made on the hands of all the prophets were also made on the hands of Mohammad and Ali (Pbut) and they made greater ones as well." He was asked: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, what are the miracles that were made by Mohammad and Ali (pbut) that are equivalent to the miracles and signs of Issa some of which are reviving the dead, curing the blind, and telling people what they eat and hide?" The Imam said: " The Messenger of Allah and his brother Ali were walking in Mecca. His uncle Abu Lahab was walking behind them and threw stones at him until he shed his blood. He was also shouting: "O Quraish, this is a wizard and a liar, so avoid and abandon him." Thus the wicked men of Quraish also gathered behind them and started throwing stones at them. Every stone that hit the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp) also hit Ali (Pbuh). Some said: "O Ali, aren’t you the one who advocates and defends Mohammad; aren’t you the brave warrior that has no match, even though you are young, you still hadn’t participated in a war yet, why aren’t you defending and advocating Mohammad?" Ali (Pbuh) said: "O filthy people of Quraish.  I can't obey Mohammad by disobeying him. If he ordered me, you would have seen wonders." They kept on following them until they left Mecca and then the stones started rolling on its own. They said: "These stones will break Mohammad and Ali (pbut) and thus we will get rid of them." The men of Quraish stood aside because they feared the stones would hurt them, but they saw that the stones rolled to Mohammad and Ali (Pbut) saying: "Peace be upon you O Mohammad Bin Abdellah Bin AbdelMoutalib Bin Hashim Bin AbedManaf. Peace be upon you O Ali Bin Abi Talib Bin AbdelMoutalib Bin Hashim Bin AbedManaf. Peace be upon you O Messenger of the Lord of all realms and the highest and greatest of all creations. Peace be upon you O Master of the custodians and the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of all realms." That group of Quraish heard the stones and thus they were astonished and couldn't speak. Ten obstinate arrogant men of them said: "These are not stones talking to them, yet these are men in holes that look like stones. Mohammad hid them under the ground so that they would talk to him in order to deceive us." Thus ten of these rocks flew above the ten men who said this and started hitting over and over again until the entire ten had their brains and blood leak from their noses. Their entire heads were smashed. Thus their families came crying and saying: "What hurts more than our tragedy of these men is Mohammad's pride of this, because they were killed by these stones!" This incident became one of the miracles and a signs of Mohammad (pbuhp)."

Thereafter, Allah made their corpses speak and say: "Mohammad was honest. He did not lie. You lied and were not honest." Ciaos spread in the funeral and the bodies fell on the ground and said: "We will not let the enemies of Allah lead us to the torment of Allah." Abou Jahel (May Allah's damnation be upon him) said: "Mohammad practiced magic on these bodies as he did on these stones and rocks and made them speak. We cannot consider that these stones who killed these men as a sign for Mohammad and a proof of his words." Some said: "Let him ask who created them to revive them." Thus the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "O Abou Al-Hassan, you heard what these people had proposed and these are ten corpses. How many wounds were you wounded by the stones that these people threw at us?" Imam Ali (Pbuh) said: "Four wounds." The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp): "I was wounded six wounds. Let each one of us ask Allah to revive a number that is equal to the number of his wounds." So the Messenger of Allah asked Allah to revive six and Ali (Pbut) asked for reviving four, hence they were revived. Afterwards, the revived men yelled: "O Muslims, Mohammad and Ali (pbut) have a great honored rank in the realms that we were in. We saw a manifestation of Mohammad on a bed next to the Bayt Al-Ma'mour and next to the throne and one of Ali next to the Bayt Al-Ma'mour and next to the Divine Chair. The angels of the skies, veils and throne rub themselves on them, praise and respect them and send their prayers upon them. They obey their orders and swear by their names and plead Allah by them to fulfill their needs." Therefore, seven men believed and the rest stayed miserable disbelievers as they were.

As for the fact that Allah aided Prophet Issa (pbuh) with the Holy Spirit, Jibraeel came to the messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) and sat with him under his white cloak along with Ali, Fatima, Al-Hassan, and Al-Hussein (Pbut). Hence, the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "O Allah, these are my family. I am an enemy of their enemies and I am peaceful to the ones peaceful to them. I love who loves them and I detest who detests them. So be an enemy of their enemies, be peaceful to the ones peaceful to them, love who loves them and detest who detests them." Thus Allah said: "O Mohammad, I answered your plea." Afterwards, Om Salama raised the cloak to sit with them, yet the Messenger of Allah pulled it back and said: "You do not hold this rank, even though you are good and heading towards good." Jibraeel came in humbleness and said: "Let me be one of you." The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "You are one of us." Jibraeel said: "Shall I raise the cloak and come in?" Prophet Mohammad (Pbuhp) said: "Come inside." Thereafter, Jibraeel came out and ascended to the highest realm and became more beautiful and glorious than he was before. The angels told him: "You came back much beautiful and different from the form you had left us with." He said: "Indeed, it is because I was honored by becoming one of the Household of Mohammad." The angels said in the realms of the skies, the veils, the Divine Throne and the Chair: "You have the right to earn this honor." Jibraeel used to be on Ali's right in wars, Mikaeel on his left, Israfeel behind him and the Angel of death in front of him.

As for curing the blind and the leper and foretelling what they ate and hid in their homes, it is that when the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) was in Mecca, they told him: "Our lord Hubal is the one who cures our patients, revives our dead and heals our wounded ones." He (Pbuhp) said: "You lied, Hubal does not do anything of that. Verily, Allah does anything that He wills with you." They were enraged and said: "O Mohammad, we fear that Hubal will strike you with blindness, leprosy, and strokes because of what you have said about him." He (Pbuhp) said: "He cannot do anything of what you said, yet Allah is the one who does." They said: "If you have a Lord you worship and worship none but him, then ask him to strike us with these diseases that we mentioned and we will ask Hubal to cure us. Thus you will know that Hubal is the peer of your Lord that you are speaking of. Thus Jibraeel came and said: "Ask Allah to strike some of them and let Ali ask as well." The Messenger of Allah raised his plea against twenty of them and Ali against ten of them. Thus they were stricken with all the diseases in a second and their hands and legs were cut off. None of their organs remained undamaged, but their ears and tongues. When they became in this condition, they were taken to Hubal to cure them and said: "Mohammad and Ali raised their plea to Allah against these people so cure them." Therefore, Hubal said: "O enemies of Allah, what power do I have in order to do such things? I swear to the One who sent him as a messenger to all creations and made him the greatest of prophets and messengers, if he raised his plea against me, my organs would have fell off and broke apart, the wind would have carried me away and none would see a remaining trace of me. Allah would do that to me and the biggest part of me would be smaller than one hundredth of a mustard seed."

When they heard this from Hubal, they went to the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) and told him: "There is no one else to supplicate but you. So aid us and supplicate Allah to cure our companions. They will never harm you anymore" He (Pbuhp) said: "Their cure comes from where the diseases came from. Twenty are on me and ten are on Ali." So they brought twenty of them and placed them before him and placed ten before Ali. The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) told the twenty: "Close your eyes and say: "O Allah, in the name of the one we were afflicted in his name, cure us, in the name of Mohammad, Ali and their Pure Household."" Ali told the ten before him the same thing. Thus they stood up and became better than they ever were without any disease or flaw. The thirty men believed along with some of their families and the rest remained miserable disbelievers.

As for foretelling what they ate and hid in their homes, it is when they were cured, the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said to them: "Believe." They said: "We believe." He (Pbuhp) said: "Shall I give you more insight." They said: "Yes." He said: "Shall I tell you what they ate and what cured them?" They said: "Tell us O Messenger of Allah." He said: "This man ate this and this man ate that." He mentioned them all and then said: "O angels of my Lord, bring me the leftovers of their food and medicine and place them on their tables and plates." So the angels brought their food and medicine from the sky. They descended and then said: "These are the leftovers of their food and the medicines." He (Pbuhp) said: "O food, tell us how many ate from you." The food said: "This man ate some and left some," and then every plate spoke and said who ate from it and what he left. Thereafter, the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "Who am I?"

The food and medicine said: "You are the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp), may Allah's prayers be upon you and upon your household." He (Pbuhp) said: "who is He?" – pointing at Ali (Pbuh)- the food and medicine said: "This is your brother, the Master of the first beings and the last, your minister who is the best of ministers and your successor who is the master of successors."[1]
