Scruitiny and the tests of the end of time

* Imam Jaa'far Bin Mohammad (Pbuh) said explaining the verse:{On the day when some of the signs of your God shall come, its faith shall not profit a soul which did not believe before, or earn good through its faith.} This is the Day when our Al-Qa'im Al-Montazar (The Awaited) rises."

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Abou Baseer that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh):"will I live to see Al-Qa'im (Pbuh)?" Imam Al-Sadiq (Pbuh) said:"O Abou Baseer! Don't you know your Imam?" He said:"Indeed! I swear to Allah I do! You are him!" Then, he held his hand. Imam said:"By Allah! O Abou Baseer, have no worries, you shall be blessed when you will hold your sword under the command of Al-Qa'im (Pbuh)" [1]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Al-Sukuni that Abou Abdellah Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said that Ameer Al-Mo'mineen (pbuh) said that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "People shall witness a time when only the scripture of the Quran shall remain and when only the name of Islam shall remain. They hear about it but they will be the furthest people away from it. Their mosques are built but they are wrecks of guidance. The scholars of that time are the evilest scholars under the shadows of the sky; sedition emerged from them and to them it shall return." [2]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Tobrosi states in Tafseer Mo'jam Al-Bayan: Reported from Abou Saeed Al-Khidri from the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) that he said: "You will be punished just like the past nations were punished before you. Hand by hand, inch by inch, and arm by arm. Even if one of those entered a lizard's hole you will." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, like what happened with the Persians and Romans and people of the book?" He (Pbuhp) said: "Are people other than them?" [3]

* The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "Acting accommodatingly with people is the half of faith and acting kindly to them is half of living." Then Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) said: "mingle with the righteous people in secrecy, and mingle with the obscene people in publicity. Don’t act against them for they would oppress you. You will witness a time when no faithful man survives but who people think that he is foolish who is patient on being told that he is foolish and with no Mind."

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen and Tamam Al-Ni'ma Books: Reported from Thabet Al-Thamaly that Imam Ali Bin Hussein Bin Ali Bin Abi Talib said:" We were meant by this verse:{And the owners of kinship are closer to one another in the Book of Allah} and this verse as well:{ And He made it an everlasting word in His descendants.} The Imamate will be in the descendants of Al-Hussein Bin Ali Bin Abi Talib until The Day of Resurrection.
Al-Qa'im will have two absences (Ghayba); one of them will be longer than the other. The first one will be for six days, six months or six years. Yet the other will continue for a long period of time, until the majority who had faith (in Al-Mahdi), will apostatize from it. Thus, only those who have strong faith and true knowledge, willingly obey our orders and leave every matter to us Ahlul-Bayt, will be of the believers(of Al-Mahdi)." [4]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Abdel Hameed Al-Wasiti that he told Imam Abou Jaa'far Mohammad Bin Ali Al-Baqir (Pbuh): "We left our markets waiting for this Matter." He (Pbuh) said: "O Abdel Hameed, do you think that who devoted himself for Allah, Allah wouldn’t find him a solution. I swear to Allah that Allah finds him a solution. Allah is merciful to the servants that devoted themselves to us; Allah is merciful to a servant who revives our memory." He said: "what if I die before I reach the time of Al-Qa'im (Imam Zaman)?" He (Pbuh) said: "he who says that if he reached the time of Imam Zaman (Pbuh) he would advocate him is like who strikes with swords under his lead even more he would be a witness with him." [5]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Hussein bin Naeem Al-Sahhaf said that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah Al-Sadiq (Pbuh) about this saying of Allah {some of you are disbelievers and some are believers}, so he (Pbuh) said: "Allah Almighty defined their faith by our Wilaya or disbelief by it on the day when He took the covenant from them when they were still atoms in Adam's seed." He also asked about: {Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, if you turn away, then the Messenger's task is to only deliver the clear message}. So, the Imam (Pbuh) said: "I swear to Allah, indeed all people who were doomed before you and all the ones who will be doomed until our Qa'im (Pbuh) rises were doomed and will be doomed only because they turned away from our Wilaya and denied our right and the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) didn't depart from this world until he obliged the people of this nation to commit to our right. Allah guides who He wills to the straight path (Al-Sirat)." [6]

* Tafseer Al-Imam Al-Askari (Pbuh) Book: He (Pbuh) said that Imam Mohammad Bin Ali (Pbuh) said: "The ones who take care of the orphans of AL Mohammad that are away from their Imam, perplexed by their ignorance, and captives in the hands of their demons and our Naseby enemies and thus they saved them from them, erased their confusion and defeated the demons by pushing back their lures and defeated the Nasebies by the arguments of their Lord and the proofs of their Imams, are better in the sight of Allah than the worshiper in the best spots more than the sky is better than earth, the throne than the chair and the veils than the sky. They are better more than the full moon is better most hidden planet in the sky." [7]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Al-Hassan Bin Aljahm that he asked Imam Abou Al-Hassan (Pbuh) about a matter of salvation (Al-Faraj), so he (Pbuh) said:" Don't you know that awaiting salvation is a part of salvation? He said:" All I know is what you teach me." So he said:" Indeed, awaiting salvation is a part of salvation." [8]

* Mohammad Bin Fadeel asked Imam al-Rida (pbuh) about a matter of salvation (Alfaraj - rising of Imam Zaman), so he (AS) said:" Isn't waiting for the Salvation a salvation indeed; Allah says: {So wait, I am with you among those who wait.}

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Abou Hamza from Imam Abou Jaa'far (Pbuh) The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said:"Touba (Bliss) is for those who live until the time of Al-Qa'im of My Household, after following him during his absence before his advent; following his saints and having malice against his enemies will be of my companions, loved ones and most honored ones in my sight in my nation at the Day of Resurrection." [9]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Jaber from Imam Abou Jaa'far Al-Baqir (Pbuh) that he said: " there will come a time where the Imam is absent from his people. Bliss is to those who stay solid committed to our Matter in that time. The least thing they earn is that Allah calls them and says: "my servants, you believed in my secrets and unseen so receive glad tidings of the best of rewards. You are my true servants. I accept from you and forgive you. By you I water my servants and clear afflictions away from them. If it hadn’t been for you I would have bestowed my torment." Then Jaber said: " O Son of the Messenger of Allah. What is the best to be used by the believer in that time? " Imam (Pbuh): " being silent and only speaking what is right and staying at home." [10]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Yaman Al-Tammar that he said: "we were sitting with Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) then he told us: " The Master of this matter(Imam Zaman) has an absence era. He who holds on to his faith in that era is like who chops thorns with his own hands. Can any one of you do that with his hands?" Then he said: "the master of this matter has an absence era, so servants fear Allah and hold on to your faith"[11]

* Al-Sayyid Hashim Al-Bahrani states Ghayat Al-Muram: Ibn Abi Hadeed said in Nahej Al-Balagha that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "the same events will happen to you as the events of the past nations; sole by sole, stone by stone and if they entered a lizard whole you will enter it." One said: "O Messenger of Allah, are they the Christians and Jews? He (Pbuhp) said: "If not, then who?" [12]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Ibrahim bin Amr Al-Yamani from Imam Abou Jaa'far Baqir (Pbuh) that he said: "O Shiites, you will be scrutinized and you will defect just like the Kohl fades away from the eye. For that who puts on Kohl knows when he puts it and doesn’t know when it fades away. So one might be a follower of our matter in the morning yet when evening comes he is out. One might be a follower in the evening and when morning comes he is out." [13]

* Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-No'mani states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Abou Baseer that he said that he heard Imam Abou Jaa'far Mohammad Bin Ali (Pbuh): "I swear to Allah that you will be scrutinized, I swear to Allah that you will be distinguished, I swear to Allah that you will be sieved just like darnel is sieved out of wheat." [14]

* Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-No'mani in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Abi Barada Al-Asdi that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) said: " I swear to Allah that you (Shia) will be chattered like glass is broken, yet glass can be brought back as it were before. I swear to Allah you will be broken like pottery, yet pottery can't be brought back as it were. I swear to Allah that you will be sieved. I swear to Allah that you will be scrutinized. I swear to Allah you will be distinguished till only the fewest few remain." [15]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Jaber Al-Jo'afi that he asked Imam Abou Jaa'far (Pbuh) " When will your salvation (Al-Faraj) occur?" He said:" How far that is! Our salvation won't take place until you are scrutinized, scrutinized and then scrutinized (He repeats it three times); until the pure-hearted remain and the impure are banished by Allah Almighty." [16]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Abi Naser that Imam Abou Al-Hassan (Pbuh) said: " By Allah! What you are seeking for will not take place until you are scrutinized or sieved, until only the rarest ones remain," and then he (Pbuh) recited :" { Did you believe that you would be left in peace when Allah yet knows not those of you who have strived,} and knows not the enduring ones."[17]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Mohammad bin Mansur Al-Saqeel from his father that he was sitting with his companions with Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh). Then Imam said: " What are you talking about? You are way way far. I swear to Allah, the thing that you are stretching your eyes towards it will not occur until you are sieved. I swear to Allah, the thing that you are stretching your eyes towards it will not occur until you are scrutinized. I swear to Allah, the thing that you are stretching your eyes towards it will not occur until you are differentiated. I swear to Allah, the thing that you are stretching your eyes towards it will not occur but only after despair. I swear to Allah, the thing that you are stretching your eyes towards it will not occur until who is meant to be miserable reaches it and who is meant to be happy reaches it."[18]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Mo'amar bin Khaled that he heard Imam Abou Al-Hassan (Pbuh) say: {Alf Lam Meem*Do people believe that they will be left to say we believed without being tested?} Then he (Pbuh) said: " What is the test?" he said: "May my soul be sacrificed for your sake! It is the test in religion." Thus, he (Pbuh) said:" They will be tested like gold is tested." Then he (Pbuh) said:" They will be purified like gold is purified." [19]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Ali bin Ri'ab that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) said that when Ameer Elmo'mineen became the Caliph after the assassination of Othman. He mounted a platform and gave a sermon saying: "You became as you were on the day that Allah sent his Messenger (Pbuhp). I swear to the one who sent him with truth, you will be perplexed extremely, and you will be sieved intensely until the high of you turn back to be low and your low turn back to be high. People who came short will step to be ahead, and people who were ahead will come short. I swear to Allah I haven’t been concealing it nor did I lie yet I was told this here and now." [20]

* Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-No'mani states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Forat bin Ahnaf from Imam Abou Abdellah Jaa'far Bin Mohammad from his forefathers (Pbut) from Imam Ali (Pbuh) that he said: "By Allah, I will be killed along with these two sons of mine, and Allah will send a man of my descendants to avenge our blood, and he will be absent from people, so that people of delusion are defected till the ignorant say: 'Allah doesn't care about AL Mohammad.'"[21]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Hussein bin Khaled from Imam Ali Bin Moussa Al-Rida (Pbuh) from his forefathers (Pbut) from Amir Al-Mo'mineen Ali Bin Abi Talib(Pbuh) that he said:" O Hussein, the ninth of your descendants is the one who rises with the truth, reveals religion and spreads justice." Al-Hussein said: "O Amir El-Mo'mineen will that happen?" So he said (Pbuh): "I swear by who sent Mohammad with prophecy and chose Him over all mankind, it will indeed; However, after his absence and after confusion takes place. Thus, no one will remain a believer except the faithful ones who have certitude in their souls; those who pledged loyalty to us (Al-Wilaya); those whom Allah had written faith in their hearts and empowered them by His Soul." [22]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Amali Book:  Reported from Moawia bin Wahab that he said that he was sitting with Imam Jaa'far Bin Mohammad (Pbuh) then an old bent man came in and said: "Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings." Imam (Pbuh) said: "Upon you be peace and Allah's mercy and blessings. O Sheikh come near me." So he came near the Imam, kissed his hand and wept. Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) said: "Why are you crying?" He said: " O son of the Messenger of Allah, I've been waiting your days for about a hundred years. I think maybe this year or this month or this day. Yet I see nothing so how are you blaming me for crying?" Thus Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) wept and said: "O Sheikh, If your death was delayed you will be with us and if death came to you, you will be with the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) on Resurrection Day." He said: "So I will not care about what I missed after this O son of the Messenger of Allah." Imam: "O Sheikh, the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: ' I will leave the two among you. If you hold onto them you shall never go astray. The descended Book of Allah and my Household.' So you will be with us on Resurrection Day." Then Imam said: "O Sheikh, I guess that you are not from Kufa City?" He said: "No." Imam: "From where are you?" He said: "From its black area. May I be sacrificed for your sake." Imam: "How much is the distance between you and the grave of my grandfather The Oppressed Al-Hussein (Pbuh)." He said: "I'm close to him." Imam: "How often do you visit him?" He said: "I visit him a lot." Imam: "O Sheikh, this is blood that Allah will ask for its revenge. None from the descendents of Fatima was or never will be afflicted like Al-Hussein (Pbuh) was. He was killed along with seventeen members of his household who gave advice and were patient in the cause of Allah. Allah rewarded them the best reward of the patient ones. On Resurrection Day, the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) will come with Al-Hussein (Pbuh) with him with his hand on his head that is dripping blood. Then the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) will say: "O Allah, ask my nation why they killed my son?"" [23]

* Sharaf Al-Deen Al-Husseiny states in Ta'weel Al-Ayat: Reported from Abou Hamza from his father that he told Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh): "May my soul be sacrificed for your sake! I have aged, my bones have weakened, my days have come to an end and what I fear is that this time (time of appearance) would come after my death." The Imam Asked Abou Hamza: "do you think the martyrs are only who were killed in the sake of Allah? Abou Hamza replied: "yes" So The Imam said:" O Abou Hamza! He, who has faith in us, believes what we say and awaits us, shall be as those who die under the banner of Al-Qa'im. By Allah! He shall be as those who died under the banner of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp)." [24]

*Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Abou Hamza from Imam Abou Jaa'far (Pbuh) explaining this saying of Allah {Say No reward I ask you for this, nor am I a pretender# This is no less than a message to the entire realms} that he said: "who is meant here is Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh) {and you shall certainly know his truth after a while} when Imam Zaman (Pbuh) rises; {we certainly gave Moussa the book but disputes arose therein} disputes occurred then as same as it occurred in this nation. There will also be disputes in the book that is with Al-Qa'im (Pbuh) that he will come with. So many people will deny him thus he will execute them; { Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the Wrong- doers will have a grievous Penalty} had it not been for Allah delaying this matter, Imam Al-Qa'im (Pbuh) wouldn’t have left any of them; {those who believe in the day of religion} the day of religion is the appearance of Al-Qa'im (Pbuh); {we swear to Allah our Lord, we weren’t polytheists} this is regarding Loyalty to Ali (Pbuh); {say: Right has arrived and falsehood had perished} Imam said: "when Al-Qa'im (Pbuh) rises the government of falsehood perishes." [25]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Wa Tamam Al-Ni'ma Book: Reported from Al-Moufaddal bin Amr that he asked Imam Al-Sadiq Jaa'far Bin Mohammad (Pbuh) about this saying of Allah: {By the era*Man surely is in loss}. Imam said: "The meaning of the era is the era of the advent of Al-Qa’im (Pbuh)"; {Man surely is in loss} Imam: "means our enemies"; {Except those who believed} Imam said: "means in our signs"; {did good deeds} Imam said: "means solacing brothers"; { and enjoin on each other the truth} Imam said: "means the Imamate"; {and enjoin on each other patience} Imam said: "means during the time of his absence." [26]

* Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Qummi states in his Tafseer Book: Reported from Abou Baseer that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) about this saying of Allah {by the sun and its light}. Imam said: "the sun is the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp), Allah clarified by him the people's religion." {and the Moon when it follows it} Imam said: "This is Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh)." {and the Night that veils it} Imam said: "These are the Imams of injustice who appointed themselves by force and sat in the places that were meant of the household of the Messenger of Allah (Pbut). By that they veiled the religion of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) with injustice and oppression. It is what Allah had said {and the night that veils it} meaning their injustice veils the light of the day." {The day that clarifies it} Imam said: "The Imam from the descendents of Fatima (Pbuh). He is asked about the religion of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) so he clarifies to who asks him. So Allah said about him {The day that clarifies it}" {A self and who made it} Imam said: "He created it and formed it." {He inspired it with its wickedness and piousness} Imam said: " meaning that He inspired it and made it know then gave her the choice to choose {Truly he succeeds he who purifies it} meaning purifying his Self and {Truly he fails he who instills it} meaning luring it." [27]

* Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-No'mani states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Abou Baseer that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) once said: "Don't you want me to tell you the only matter that makes the good deeds of servants acceptable to Allah, The Most High?" Abou Baseer said:" Yes I do."
So he (Pbuh) said:" It is to testify that there is no God but Allah and that Mohammad is His servant and Messenger, admit and accept the orders of Allah and our leadership, especially follow the Imams and leave all matters to them and acquit of their enemies.
It is to have piety, devoutness, and tranquility and await Al-Qa'im (Pbuh)" Then, he said:" There is a state for us that Allah will give to us when He pleases." Then, he said:" Whoever shall be delighted to be of the companions of Al-Qa'im (Pbuh), must be of those who wait for him and be pious and virtuous. Whoever awaits and dies shall have the same rewards of those who lived to see him. So work hard and wait. Paradise shall be for You, O blessed party." [28]

* Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-No'mani states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Al-Asbagh bin Nabata from Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh) that he said: "Be like bees among birds. All birds underestimate it. Yet if birds knew what are in it of blessings, it wouldn’t underestimate it. Associate with people by your tongues and bodies and don’t imitate them with your hearts and acts. I swear to the one who holds my soul in his hand, you will not witness what you like till after you spit in each other's faces, belie each other, and none remains of you –Or he said: "of my followers"- but like the Kohl in the eye or salt in food. I will set you a parable. It is like a man who cleaned and purified his food then left it at home and then came back and found that a part of was spoiled. So he cleaned it and placed it back in his home and left. Then came back and found that another part of it became spoiled. He staid like this till only the rarest part that is never spoiled remained. You are like this. You will be distinguished until only the party that is not affected by turmoil remains." [29]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Al-Ghayba Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Bishr Al-Hamadani from Mohammad Ibn Al-Hanafia -in a long narration- that he said: "The descendents of man have a delayed dominion. Till when they feel safe and think that their dominion will not perish, they will be screamed at. A scream that doesn’t leave them anyone to gather them nor anyone to listen to them. This is what Allah had said {till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect}." He said: "May I be sacrificed for your sake. Is there a time for this?" He said: "No, because Allah's knowledge is greater than the knowledge of timers. Allah promised Moussa thirty nights and he completed it with ten nights that Moussa had no knowledge of and the descendents of Israeel didn’t know about. When that time passed, they said: 'Moussa deceived us.' So they worshiped the sheep. Yet when the needs of people and poverty increases and people start denying each other, expect that matter of Allah day and night." [30]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Sadeer Al-Sairafi that he said that he went with Al-Moufaddal bin Amr and Abou Baseer and Aban bin Taghlob to Imam Abou Abdellah Al-Sadiq (Pbuh). They saw him sitting on the soil covered with a veil and crying like the mother who lost her child. His tears running on his cheeks and his grief is very obvious on his face. He was saying: "O master! Your disappearance has denied me of rest! And narrowed my cradle! And has stirred my heart's restfulness! O master! Your disappearance has joined my lament to eternity's woes! And the loss of one after the other has abolished the gathering and assembly! What I feel of a tear that ascends from my eye, and a whining that drives out of my chest, from the drawers of hardship and prior suffering of what has preceded from grandness of tragedies, and a tough rest that will follow, and calamities mixed with your anger, and afflictions molded in your wrath."

Sadeer said: " we lost our minds and our heart broke in grief from this incredible event. We thought that a big calamity happened to him or that he remembered an affliction from the past. So we said: 'May Allah allow not your eyes to shed tears O son of the best of creatures. What made you be in this grieving situation?'" Then Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) sighed and said: "Al-Wayl. I took a look at Al-Jafer Book this morning. It is the book that contains the knowledge of death, afflictions and tests and the knowledge of what happened and what will happen till Resurrection Day. Such book that Allah specified Mohammad and the Imams after him with. I read about the birth of our Qa’im (Pbuh), his absence and his long age. I read about the afflictions of the believers in that era, the doubts that are in their hearts that rose from his long absence and most of them abandoned faith and removed Islam from their beliefs. As Allah said about {Every man's beliefs We have fastened on his own neck} meaning the Wilaya (Loyalty). So I grieved and became saddened for that.”

They said: " O Messenger of Allah, may you honor us by telling us some of what you have of knowledge." Imam (Pbuh) said: " Allah made three ways for our Qa'im such ways that he used with three of His Messengers (pbut). His birth is like the birth of Moussa (pbuh), his absence is like the absence of Issa (pbuh), and the delayed fate is like the delayed fate of Nouh (pbuh). Then Allah made the age of The Righteous Servant (Al-Khodor) so long as a proof for his age." They said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, tell us about the meanings of these." Imam said: "As for the birth of Moussa (pbuh). When Firaon realized that his dominion will end on his hands, he brought the priests. So they told him about his lineage and that he is from the descendents of Israeel. So he ordered his men to cut the abdomens of all pregnant women of Banu Israeel. So he killed twenty one thousand babies. Yet he didn’t reach Moussa (pbuh) because Allah guarded him. Banu Omaya and Banu Abbas when they knew that their dominion will end on the hands of Al-Qa'im, they held enmity against him and planned to start killing the household of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) and the extermination of his descendents in order to kill Al-Qa'im. But Allah refuses to disclose his matter to one of oppressors and yet he will complete his Nour (Divine Light) even if the polytheists detest it.

As for the Absence of Issa (pbuh). It is that the Christians and Hebrews agreed that he was killed. Thus Allah belied them by His saying {Neither they did kill him nor crucified him, But so it was made to appear to them}. The same matter is for the absence of Al-Qa'im. The nation will deny it for its long time. There are some who say: 'he wasn’t born.' Some say: 'He reached thirteen or more and died.' and some disobey Allah and say: 'The soul of Al-Qa'im speaks in a body other than his.'

As for the delayed fate of Nouh. When the punishment was bestowed on his people from the sky, Allah sent the Entrusted Soul to him carrying seven date seeds. He told him: 'O Prophet of Allah, Allah tells you: "These are my creatures and servants. I will not exterminate them with a lightening of my lightening but after assuring the message and proving the argument. So work again on your message to your nation and I shall reward you for that. Plant these seeds. For that your salvation is in its plants. Deliver such tidings to who followed you of believers." When the trees grew and flourished with dates after a long time. He told Allah that the duration has ended. Thus Allah ordered him to plant the seeds of these trees and to be patient and to work again to prove the argument over his nation. So he told who believed in him about this. Thus three hundred men abandoned him and said: "If what Nouh claimed was true, his lord wouldn’t have broken his promise." Allah ordered him to plant seeds again and again till he planted seven times. So many groups of believers abandoned him, one after another till only seventy and a few remained with him. Then Allah inspired him and said: "O Nouh, now the morning uncovered the night before your eyes as right is now revealed and faith is now pure from taints. Because all everyone who has a wicked clay left. If I had exterminated the infidels and spared the ones who abandoned you who believed in you before that. Then I wouldn’t have been true with my promise to the believers who were sincere in monotheism and held onto to the rope of your prophecy. The promise that states that I shall make them successors on earth, strengthen their faith and replace their fear with safety. So that they worship me without any doubt in their hearts. How can strengthening and replacing fear with safety be accomplished as I know that who abandoned you are with weak certainty, wicked clay and evil intentions that were products of their hypocrisy and delusion are still among you. If they received the dominion that I gave to the believers as I destroyed their enemies, their hypocrisy would have been strengthened and the delusion that is in their hearts would have been empowered and thus they would have revealed their enmity against their brothers and fought with them over leadership and commanding and prohibiting solely. So how can strengthening faith among believers be accomplished along with turmoil and war? Never. {Make the ship by our eyes and inspirations}

The days of the Absence of Al-Qa'im will continue to pass as well until the truth becomes pure and faith becomes purified of filth; by the defection of those made up of cruel clay of the Shia who may become hypocrites when they feel the ease, power and security spread in the era of Al-Qa'im."

Al-Moufaddal said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, the Nasebies claim that this verse talks about Abou Baker, Omar, Othman and Ali." Imam said: "Allah doesn’t guide the Naseby hearts. When was the religion that Allah and his Messenger stated strengthened, when was fear removed from the hearts, when was doubt removed from the chests in the time of one of them? Also in the time of Ali (Pbuh) many Muslims defected, turmoil was raging and wars were always between them and infidels." Then Imam (Pbuh) recited this verse: { until, when the messengers give up hope (of their people) and (come to) think that they were treated as liars, there reaches them Our victory}.

Then Imam (Pbuh) said: "As for the righteous servant ‘Al-Khodor’ (pbuh). Allah didn’t make his age long for a destined prophecy that He will grant him or a Book to be descended upon him, or to state Sharia (laws), or to be an Imam to be followed and obeyed. Yet Allah had prior knowledge of the destined long age of Imam Qa’im and his destined absence. Allah also had prior knowledge that his servants will deny his long age. So he made the age of Al-Khodor so long for nothing but to be an argument that proves the long age of Imam Qa’im (Pbuh) so that no denier can deny it." [31]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Kamal Al-Deen Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Muslim that he heard Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) say: "Before Al-Qa'im there are signs from Allah to the believers." He said: "what are these signs, may I be sacrificed for your sake?" Imam said: " it is this saying of Allah {we will afflict you} meaning the believers before the rise of Imam Zaman (Pbuh) {with a few of fear, hunger, and shortage of money, men and fruits; and give glad tidings for the patients} meaning Allah will afflict them with fear from the Kings of that tribe that are at the end of their dominion. {Hunger} is the increase of prices; {shortage of money} is recession of trades and low profits. Shortage of {men} is quick death, shortage of {fruits} is when only a few grow from what is planted. {give glad tidings to the patient ones} these tidings are of hastening the appearance of Al-Qa'im (Pbuh). Then Imam said: "O Mohammad, this is its explanation. Allah says: {none knows its explanation but Allah and who have deep vast knowledge.} [32]

* Imam Abou Al-Hassan Ali Bin Moussa Al-Rida (Pbut) said: "There must be a deaf sedition were every taint falls. This is when the followers lose the third of my descendents. Inhabitants of the sky and earth will cry over him as well as every sad and grieving one." Thereafter, the Imam said:" May my father and mother be sacrificed for you whose name is like the name of my grandfather (Pbuh) and who is like Moussa Bin Omran (pbuh). He wears the lights lighted from the rays of holiness. How many grieving female beleivers and sorrowful perplexed sad believers there will be when the pure water is not present. It is as if I can see them now hopeless as never before, summoned with a call heard from a distance as heard closely that will be a mercy sent upon the believers and a torment sent upon the disbelievers."

* Imam Baqir (PBUH) said:”Our dominion shall be the last of all. Every household shall rule before us so that when beholding our order, they would not say:” If we had the authority to rule, we would have ruled like these, as Allah says: {the supernal reward is for the pious ones.}””

* Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:"This matter will not take place until every kind of people has ruled, so that no one would say: 'If we had ruled, we would have been just.' Then, Al-Qa'im
ِAl-Mahdi will rise by truth and justice."

* Abu Baseer asked Imam Sadiq (PBUH):" May my soul be sacrificed for you! When is the Salvation?" He said:" O Abu Baseer, are you of those who desire this earthly world? He who knew this matter has attained Salvation by awaiting it."

* Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:"Verily, people (Shia) must be sieved, scrutinized and differentiated, and many creatures will be sieved out.

* Imam Moussa bin Jaa'far (Pbuh) said: "When the fifth descendant of the seventh Imam is missed (Imam Mahdi), then may Allah indeed help you in safeguarding your faith by not letting any make you defect from your religion. For, the absence of the master of this matter is a must so that all who claimed to be followers of it turn back against it. It is a test that Allah tested his creatures with.

* Reported from Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) that he said: “ Imam Qa’im (Pbuh) will only rise when people are in horrible fear, when earthquakes, turmoil and afflictions are striking people. Before these comes plague, sharp swords wielded among Arabs, huge disputes among people. Their faith is scattered and their conditioned are changed to a level where one wished to die every morning and every night for what is seen from the wickedness of men and them eating each other. He will rise when there is apathy and despair regarding his advent. Bliss is to he who is at his time and is one of his advocators. Wayl (Valley in Hell) is to he who opposed him, rejected his orders and was one of his enemies.”

* Ibin Abi Yaafour said:" I met Imam Al-Sadeq (PBUH) while he was sitting with a group of his companions, then he said to me:" O Ibin Abi Yaafor, have you read the Quran?" I said:" Yes, this reading" He said:" That's what I asked you about, not anything else?" So I said:" Yes, shall my soul be yours, but why?" He said:" Because Moses (Mousa) (PBUH) has spoke to his people with words about him that they couldn't bear. Thus they stood against him in Egypt and fought against him. So he fought back and killed them. And because Issa (PBUH) had spoke to his people with words about him that they could not bear, they stood against him in Takreet and fought against him. Thus, he fought back and killed them. That's what Allah Almighty declared :{ then a group of the descendants of Israel believed, and a group disbelieved: But We gave power to those who had believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed.}Indeed! The first one of us, Ahlulbayt, to rise will speak words that you will not bear, so you will stand against Him and fight him in Rmayla Aldaskara,. Then he will fight against you and kill you and that will be the last of those who stood against Him.""

* Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:" By Allah! All those who have been doomed before you and those who will be doomed until the Advent of Al-Qa'im (pbuh) were doomed due to abandoning our Wilaya and denying our rights."

* Imam Al-Baqer (pbuh) said: "Your words shall be abhorred by the hearts of men, so whoever admits them, tell him more and whoever denies them, leave him. There must be a sedition in which every hidden matter shall be revealed, until those who can divide a hair into two fall and until no one remains but us and our followers (Shia)."
