4ـ رسولُ اللهِِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): الاقتِصادُ فِي النَّفَقةِ نِصفُ المَعيشَةِ. |
| 4– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Economising in one’s expenditure is half of livelihood.’[Kanz al-`Ummal, no. 5434] |

5ـ رسولُ اللهِِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): مَنِ اقتَصَدَ أغناهُ اللّهُ. |
| 5– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Whoever economizes, Allah will enrich them.’[Tanbih al-Khawatir, v. 1, p. 167] |

6ـ رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): ما مِن نَفَقةٍ أحَبَّ إلَى اللّهِ مِن نَفَقةِ قَصدٍ. |
| 6– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘There is no spending more loved by Allah than spending with careful deliberation.’[Bihar al-Anwar, v. 78, p. 10, no. 67] |

7ـ رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): الاقتِصادُ وحُسنُ السَّمتِ والهَدْيُ الصالِحُ جُزءٌ مِن بِضعٍ وعِشرينَ جُزءاً مِن النُّبوَّةِ. |
| 7– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Economising, maintaing silence and righteous guidance are one part of the twenty-five parts of prophethood.’[Tanbih al-Khawatir, v. 1, p. 167] |

8ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): الاقتِصادُ بُلغَةٌ. |
| 8– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Economising is subsistence.’[Bihar al-Anwar, v. 78, p. 10, no. 67] |

9ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): الاقتِصادُ يُنمي القليلَ، الإسرافُ يُفني الجَزيلَ. |
| 9– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Economising increases the little, and wasting destroys the abundant.’[Ghurar al-Hikam, no. 334, 335] |

10ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): مَن تَحَرَّى القَصدَ خَفَّت علَيهِ المُؤَنُ. |
| 10– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Whoever examines their expenditure, their hardships will decrease.’[Bihar al-Anwar, v. 71, p. 342, no. 15] |

11ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): السَّرَفُ مَثواةٌ، والقَصدُ مَثراةٌ. |
| 11– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Wasting buries and economising enriches.’[Bihar al-Anwar, v. 71, p. 347, no. 13] |

12. الإمامُ الكاظمُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): ما عالَ امرُؤٌ اقتَصَدَ. |
| 12– Imam al-Kazim (AS) said, ‘A person who economises will never be dependant.’[al-Khisal, p. 620, no. 10] |

13. الإمامُ العسكريُّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): إنَّ ... للاقتِصادِ مِقدارا ، فإن زادَ علَيهِ فهو بُخلٌ . |
| 13– Imam al-`Aaskari (AS) said, ‘Verily economising has a limit, and whatever exceeds that is stinginess.’[al-Durra al-Bahira, p. 43] |
