The Miracles of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (pbuh)

*  His grandfather the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) dubbed him Al-Sadiq (The Truthful) when he said Allah will take out from his seed- meaning Mohammad Al-Baqir's seed- a word of truth and a tongue of honesty. Ibin Masoud said What is his name, O Messenger of Allah He said He is called Jaafar. He is truthful in his words and actions. He who denies him, denies me and he who disbelieves him, disbelieves him… (1)

*  The Prophet (PBUHP) said that Allah said in Hadith Al-Lawh (the plate) about Imam Jaafar Al-Sadeq (pbuh) The doubter in Jaafar shall be doomed, for he who denies him denies Me. It is My word that I shall dignify Jaafar and I shall gladden him by his followers, advocates, and saints.” (2)

*  Ibrahim Bin Saed said I said to Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) Can you hold the sun in your hand He said (pbuh) If I wanted to, I could conceal it from you. I said “Do so. Thus, I saw him drag it as a riding animal is driven by its neck and then it darkened and was concealed. This happened under the eyes of all the people of Al-Madina until he returned it back. (3)

*  One of the companions of Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said I took some money to Abu Abdellah Al-Sadiq (pbuh) and I thought to myself that it was too much, thus when I entered his house, he called his servant and ordered him to bring the bowl that was at the end of the house and then he spoke some words when the bowl was brought. Thus, coins of money began to come out of the bowl until it separated me from the servant. Then, he (pbuh) turned to me and said Do you think that we need what is in your hands We only take it from you to purify you by it. (4)

* Qays Ibin Khalid said:" I saw Al-Sadiq (pbuh) lift the minaret of the Prophet (pbuh) with his left hand and the walls of the grave with his right hand. He made them reach the highest point in the sky and then said:" I am Jaafar. I am the deepest river. I am the most radiant holder of the Ayat (Signs). I am the son of Shobair and Shobbar (Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein)."" (5)

* A man said:" I asked Imam Jaafar Bin Mohammad (pbuh) for a sign. Thus, he (pbuh) said:" Ask me what you like for I shall inform you if Allah wills." I said:" I have a brother who has been buried in this graveyard, can you ask him to come to me?" He (pbuh) said:" What was his name?" I said:" Ahmad." He (pbuh) said:" O Ahmad! Rise by the will of Allah and the will of Jaafar Bin Mohammad." So, I swear to Allah, he rose, saying:" I am coming."" (6)

* Qabisa Bin Wa'el said:" When I was with Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh), he left and then returned with a leafed branch of dates and said:" My right foot was on the shoulder of Jebra'eel and my left one was on the shoulder of Mika'eel; I was like that until I reached the Prophet, Ali, Fatima, Al-Hasan, Al-Hussein, Ali and my father (pbut) so they bestowed this upon me for me and my followers (Shia)."" (7)

* One of the companions of Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:" I took some money to Abu Abdellah Al-Sadiq (pbuh) and I thought to myself that it was too much, thus when I entered his house, he called his servant and ordered him to bring the bowl that was at the end of the house and then he spoke some words when the bowl was brought. Thus, coins of money began to come out of the bowl until it separated me from the servant. Then, he (pbuh) turned to me and said:" Do you think that we need what is in your hands? We only take it from you to purify you by it."" (8)
