The Judge and Self Desires

There was a judge among the children of Israeel who was honest and just judging according to truth and rights. When he was about to die he said to his wife: "When I die, wash me, cover me with the death-shroud and then cover my face and put me in my bed. You will not see any evil." When he died, she did as he told her. After a while she uncovered his face and saw a worm eating out from his nose. She was frightened. In the night he came to her in her  dream and said to her: "Were you frightened from what you saw?" She said: "Yes." He said: "I swear to Allah it is because of your brother. Once he came to me with an opponent. When they sat I said to myself: "I hope that he is not guilty." When they told me their story I concluded that your brother isn’t guilty and I was gladdened for that. What happened to me is because of that even though it was right."
