Seeking refuge with Allah from the devil while reciting Quran.

 


Imam Abou Al-Hassan Al-Askari (Pbuh) said: " They saying that Allah ordered you to recite before reciting Quran is: "I seek refuge with Allah the All-Hearing and All-Knowing from the damned devil." Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh) said: "Saying : 'I seek refuge with Allah' means 'I seek the protection.' -till he said- Seeking refuge is what Allah ordered his servants to do when reciting Quran as He said {When you recite Quran, seek refuge with Allah from the damned devil} He who disciplines himself according to the morals of Allah shall attain the everlasting success."

Mohammad bin Masoud Al-Ayashi states in his Tafseer Book: Soma'a said that he heard Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) say : "{When you recite Quran, seek refuge with Allah from the damned devil}" He said: "What should I say?" The Imam (Pbuh) said: " You say: "I seek refuge with Allah the All-Hearing and All-Knowing from the damned devil." The damned devil is the most wicked of demons."

Mohammad bin Masoud Al-Ayashi states in his Tafseer Book: Al-Halabi reported that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) about seeking refuge from the devil in each Surat (Quran Chapter) we open for reciting. He (Pbuh) said: "Yes you seek refuge with Allah from the damned devil and he is the most wicked of demons." He said: "Why is he named 'The Damned Devil?'" He (Pbuh) said: "Because he is damned (stoned)" He said: "Is he deformed and changed into a different matter when he is damned?" He (Pbuh) said: "No, Yet he is damned in the knowledge of Allah."

Al-Sheikh Abou Al-Futuh Al-Razi states in his Tafseer Book: Abdellah Ibn Abbas said: "The verse that descended or the first matter that Jibraeel said to the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) about Quran was: "O Mohammad, say: "I seek refuge with the All-hearing All-knowing from the damned devil." Then he said: {In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful # Read in the name of Your Lord who created}"

Ibn Abi Al-Jumhour states in Awali Al-La'aly Book: Abdellah bin Masoud said: "I recited Quran in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) and said: "And I seek refuge with Allah from the damned devil." He (Pbuhp) said to me: "Say: "I Seek refuge with Allah from the damned devil." This is how Jirabeel taught me.""

Al-Qutb Al-Rawandy states in Al-Da'awat Book: Imam Sadiq (Pbuh) said: "Close the doors of disobedience by seeking refuge with Allah from the devil and open the doors of obedience with starting in the name of Allah."
