The reward of visiting Imam Al-Rida's (AS) shrine

Alshaikh Alsadouq states in Oyoun Akhbar Al-Rida (pbuh) that Solaiman Bin Hafs Almerwazy said:" I heard Abu Al-Hasan Mousa Bin Jaafar (pbuh) say:" Whoever visits the grave of my son Ali, will have seventy accepted pilgrimages." I said:" seventy pilgrimages?!" He said:" Indeed! He will have seventy thousand pilgrimages." Then he said:" A pilgrimage may not be accepted, but whoever visits him or sleeps over night at his grave, will be as if he visited Allah in His throne." I said:" As visiting Allah in His throne?!" He said:" yes! At Resurrection Day, there will be four of the first time and four of the last on Allah's throne. As for the four of the first, they are Nouh, Ibrahim, Mousa and Issa (Allah's peace be upon them). As for the other four, they are Mohammad, Ali, Al-Hasan and Al-Hossein (Allah's praises and blessings be upon them). Then, the visitors of the Imams' graves will sit with us. Indeed! The ones with the highest rank and the nearest to us are the visitors of the grave my son Ali (pbuh)."[1]

Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:" My grandsons will be killed in the land of Khorasan (Persia), in a city called Tous. He who visits him there knowing his right, I shall take his hand and allow him to enter Heaven on the Day of Resurrection, even if he was a man of great sins." He (pbuh) was asked:" May I be sacrificed for you! What would knowing his right be?" He (pbuh) said:" It is to know that he is an Imam who must be obeyed and that he is abandoned and a martyr. He who visits him knowing his right, Allah Almighty will give him as the rewards of seventy martyrs who martyred under the banner of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) with knowledge.[2]
Imam Al-Jawad (pbuh) said:" He who visits the grave of my father (pbuh) in Tous, Allah shall forgive all his previous and future sins and on the Day of Resurrection, a platform will be set for him beside the platform of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), until Allah finishes judging his servants."[3]

Al-Sadouq narrated in Oyoun Akhbar Al-Rida (pbuh) that a virtuous man once saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) in his dream, so he said to him:" O Messenger of Allah! Which one of your descendants shall I visit?" He (pbuh) said:" Some returned to me being poisoned and some being killed." He said:" Which one of them should I visit, even though they have distant shrines?" He (pbuh) said:" Visit the closest one to you, who is buried in an exile land." He said:" O Messenger of Allah! Do you mean Al-Rida (pbuh)?" He (pbuh) said:" Say: May Allah's prayers be upon him; say: May Allah's prayers be upon him; say: May Allah's prayers be upon him!" He (pbuh) said it three times."[4]

A man from the people of Khorasan (Persia) said to Al-Rida (pbuh): “O son of the Messenger of Allah! I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp) in my sleep as if he’s saying to me: “How will you be when a part of me will be buried in your land, the deposit that you will safeguard, and when my star will be concealed in your soil?”” Thus, Al-Rida (pbuh) said: “I am the one to be buried in your land, I am the part of your prophet and I am the deposit and the star. Indeed, he who visits me, knowing what Allah, the Most High, has obliged of my right and of obeying me, I and my forefathers shall be his interceders on the Day of Resurrection and he who has us as his interceders on the Day of Resurrection shall be saved, even if he had the burdens (sins) of the Jinn and humankind on his back. My father has reported from my grandfather, from his father and from his fathers (pbut) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp) said:” He who saw me in his sleep has seen me because the Devil neither manifests himself in my image, the image of one of my custodians nor the image of one of their followers (Shia). A true vision is a part of seventy parts of prophecy.” [5]

Abu Al-Hasan Ali Bin Mousa Al-Rida (pbuh) said:" I will be killed, poisoned and buried in a foreign land. I know that from a promise given to me by my father, from his father, from his fathers, from Ali Bin Abi Talib (pbuh), and from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). He who visits me in my exile, I and my fathers shall be his interceders on Resurrection Day and he who has us as his interceders shall be saved even if he held the sins of the Thaqalayn (Jinn and humankind) on his back." [6]

Do'abol said:"O son of the Messenger of Allah! For whom is this grave which is in Tous?" Al-Rida (pbuh) said:" It's my grave. Days and nights will not pass until Tous becomes a destination site for my followers and visitors. Indeed, whoever visits me in my exile in Tous, will be forgiven and will be with me in my rank at Resurrection Day."[7]

Imam Ali Al-Rida (pbuh) wrote:" Inform my Shia that my ziara (visit) equals a thousand pilgrimages, according to Allah Almighty." Someone said to Abu Jaafar (Imam Jawad) (pbuh):" A thousand pilgrimages?!" He (pbu) said:" Yes indeed! It even equals a million pilgrimages for who visits him knowing his right." [8]

Ameer Al'Mo'mineen (pbuh) said:" A man of my descendants will be killed, oppressed in the Land of Khorasan (Persia) by poison. His name is my name and his father's name is the name of Ibin Omran, Mousa (as). He who visits him in his exile, Allah will remit his previous and future sins even if it was as mush as the stars, rain drops and leaves of the trees." [9]
