Unjustly consuming the money of orphans

 * Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Aban bin Othman from Abi Al-Sabbah that he said: "I heard narrations reported from the holy prophet (Pbuhp), from Ali (Pbuh) and from Ibn Masoud so I asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) about it. Imam said: "This is the speech of the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) I know it. The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "The worst of profits is consuming the money of orphans.""" [1]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Al-Khisal Book: Reported from Soma'a from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that he said: "Fear Allah when treating the two weaks, orphans and women." [2]

* Mohammad bin Masoud Al-Ayashi states in his Tafseer Book: Reported from Al-Halabi from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuhp) wrote: " He who consumes the money of orphans unjustly shall have the punishment bestowed upon his descendents after him. It is either in Donia as Allah said { Let those have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind} or in the Hereafter as Allah said {Those who unjustly consume the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire}"[3]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq Oyun Akhbar Al-Rida (Pbuh) Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Sanan that Imam Ali Bin Moussa Al-Rida (Pbuh) wrote answering questions about consuming the money of orphans: "Allah forbade consuming the money of orphans for many reasons that lead to corruption. First of all, consuming the money of orphans unjustly is in reality aiding in killing this orphan. Because the orphan is not self-sufficient, he can't take care of himself and he has no one to take care of him and satisfy him like his parents. So if his money was consumed is as if he was killed and dragged to poverty and need. This is along with the fear and punishment that Allah had set for who does that when He said: { Let those have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind. So fear Allah}. Also Imam Abou Jaa'far (Pbuh) said: "Allah promised the ones who consume the money of orphans two punishment. One in Donia and one in the Hereafter." So forbidding consuming the money of orphans allow the orphans to keep their money and be independent and safety for the ones controlling the money of orphans from punishment that will strike their descendents as Allah promised as also the orphan will ask for his revenge if he knows and thus there will be enmity, grudge and hatred among them." [4]

* Al-Mirza Al-Nouri states in Moustadrak Al-Wasa'el Book: Reported from Soma'a that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) about the one who consumes the money of orphans can he repent of not. Imam (Pbuh) said: " He must give back what he took to its owners. Allah says: {Those who unjustly consume the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire} and said {For this is indeed a great sin}"[5]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Man Al-Yahdudoru Al-Faqeeh Book: Reported from Saleem bin Qays  Al-Hilali that he said that Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh) said in his last commandments to his son Al-Hassan where also there were Hussein and Mohammad along with all his children, household and the heads of followers. He (Pbuh) said: " Allah sends him to heaven he who takes care of an orphan till he can count on himself as same as Allah sends to hell he who consumes the money of orphans." [6]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Al-Amali Book: Reported from Ibrahim bin Mohammad from Imam Jaa'far Bin Mohammad Al-Sadiq (Pbuh) from his forefathers (Pbut) from the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) that he said: "Issa bin Mariam (pbuh) passed by a grave of one who was being tortured. Then he passed another time and the man wasn’t being tortured. So he said: "O lord, I passed by this grave where the man inside was being tortured, then I passed after a year and this man wasn’t being tortured." So Allah inspired him with: "O Soul of Allah, He has a righteous child who is not taking care of an orphan so I forgave him because of the deeds of his son." [7]

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Man Al-Yahdudoru Al-Faqeeh Book: Reported from Anas bin Mohammad from his father from Imam Jaa'far Bin Mohammad (Pbuh) from his forefathers (Pbut) from the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) that he said to Ameer Elmo'mineen (Pbuh): "O Ali, I will tell you my commandments so keep it. You shall stay in goodness as long as you keep it.

O Ali, He who takes care and satisfy the needs of an orphan till he becomes self-sufficient will go to heaven.

O Ali, He who wipes the head of an orphan with his hand showing mercy, Allah will give him a light for every hair he touched." [8]

* Ali bin Babawaih states in Fokoh Al-Rida (Pbuh) Book: Reported from the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) that he said: " He who wipes the head of an orphan with his hand showing mercy, Allah will count for him a righteous deed for every hair he touches." [9]

* Tafseer Al-Imam Al-Askari Book:Imam (Pbuh) said that Imam Mohammad Bin Ali (Pbuh) said: "The one who takes care of the orphans of AL Mohammad (Pbut) who are not in contact with their Imam, who are perplexed in their ignorance, captives in the hands of demons and our enemies of Nasibies, then he brings them out from their confusion and defeats the demons but turning back their lures and defeats the Nasibies by the arguments of his lord and the proofs of his Imam, is greater in the sight of Allah that the best worshiper in a way greater than the difference between Sky and Land, Throne and Chair and the mirrors in the sky. He is greater than this worshiper like the full moon is greater than the least shining star in the sky." [10]
