Khomos

* Mohammad bin Al-Hassan Al-Saffar states in Basa’er Al-Darajat Book: Reported from Ibn Abi Al-Sabbah Al-Kanani that he said that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) said to him: “O Abou Al-Sabbah, we are people whom Allah obligated obeying us. The Anfal and the pure money belong to us. We are the ones deep in knowledge and we are the envied ones that Allah said about them: {Or do they envy people for what Allah had granted them of his virtue}”[1]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book:Reported from Ibn Bakeer that he heard Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) say: “I take Dirhams from you but I’m the wealthiest man in Al-Madina. Yet I only want to purify you.”

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Abou Baseer from Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh) that he said: “we own the fifth of every matter that was fought for by the testimony of There is no God but Allah. None is allowed to by anything from this fifth till we have our right of it.” [2]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Zaid that he said: “People from Khurasan came to Imam Abou Al-Hassan Al-Rida (Pbuh) and asked him to spare them from paying Khomos. He (Pbuh) said to them: “How strange is that! You claim that you love us by your tongues and yet you deprive us from our rights that Allah made for us that is The Khomos, we will never ever ever spare anyone from paying it.” [3]

 

* Ibn Shaher Ashoub states in Al-Manaqib Book: Reported from Abou Hisham from Imam Baqir (Pbuh) that he said: “Allah said to Mohammad (Pbuhp): “I chosen you and elected Ali (Pbuh) and made a pure descendents from you that I made Khomos for.” [4]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Hazeer from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) he said: “ everyone who has money of gold and silver and he doesn’t give Zakat Allah will imprison him on Resurrection Day in Qarqar Valley and impels a brave strong bold man wanting him. He will try to escape but when he sees that he there is no way to escape. The brave bold grabs his hand and bites it like radish is bitten. Then a chain will be around his neck. It is what Allah had said: {They will be chained by what they held back on Resurrection} everyone who has money of camels, sheep and cows and also not paying Zakat will be imprisoned by Allah on Resurrection Day in Qarqar Valley stomped by every animal by its hooves and bitten by the canines of every animal that has canines. Everyone who has money of palm trees, farms and crops and he doesn’t pay Zakat will be chained and imprisoned in a land like his land in the seventh under earth.” [5]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Abi Jaroud from Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh) that he said: “Allah resurrects some people from their graves on Resurrection Day with their hand tied to their necks. They can’t do anything with their hands. Along with them are angels shaming them extensively and saying: “These are the ones who held back few good while having plenty of good. These are the ones whom Allah gave them but they didn’t pay for the right of Allah from their money.” [6]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Thawab Al-A’amal Book:Reported from Mohammad bin Muslim that he asked Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh) about this saying of Allah {They will be chained by what they held back on Resurrection Day}. Imam (Pbuh) said: “Allah will chain the neck of everyone who doesn’t pay Zakat by a snake of fire that will eat out from his flesh till the judgment is finished. It is what Allah had said: {They will be chained by what they held back on Resurrection Day} what they held back of Zakat.” [7]

 

* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq in Tamam Al-Deen Wa Kamal Al-Ni’ma Book: Reported from Abou Baseer that he said to Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh): “What is the smallest and easiest matter that leads a servant to hell?” Imam (Pbuh) said: “consuming one dirham of orphans with no right and we are the orphans.” [8]

 

* Ali bin Ibrahim in his Tafseer Book: {No, you aren’t generous to the orphans and you consume the food of the poor} meaning the ones who deprived AL Mohammad (Pbut) from their rights and consumed the money of their followers and the poor ones of them.” [9]
